Homeschooling

I’m a homeschooling mom of five. Right now, I have three high school graduates (who were fully homeschooled). One has graduated from Cleveland State University, OH, and is pursuing her Masters Degree. The second is in his third year at Kutztown University in PA and is set to graduate early in December 2024. And my third homeschool graduate will be starting an apprenticeship program in the maritime industry in early 2025. I’m currently homeschooling my two youngest who are in grades 8 and 11. I’ve relied on public school, online classes, prerecorded courses, community college classes and everything in between to educate my kids. Every summer, I consider my kids’ strengths and weaknesses, my own gifts and flaws, and plan out the next year’s course of action.

I’ve learned a lot these last 18 years and I hope by sharing my experiences I can help you discover if homeschooling is right for your family, how you can tweak it to fit the needs of your unique children, and learn what curriculum choices might best help you on your journey.
