More Valentines to Lead Your Loved One To Heaven

It’s Lent. I’m eating like a 12th century nun. More on that later. All you need to know for now is that I haven’t had coffee in three days. But that’s all I’m going to say about it because not complaining is part of the joy/ magic/ etc. that Lent is made of (+ tears of frustration).

seven quick takes friday 2

Thankfully, we live in a world of Sundays. This Sunday happens to be St. Valentine’s Day. I already recommended a book, and seeing as I’m feeling oh so chipper, I though I’d crank out a few Valentines that keep the true meaning of the day front and center. Y’all know St. Valentine was a martyr right? He’s not a figment of Hallmark’s imagination, nor did he spend his days handing out posies and Conversation Hearts. He was busy converting people, narrowly avoiding death and ministering to his flock. Let’s keep that in mind before we rush out and spend the hard-earned money we have left after tithing to the Church on trinkets and chocolate….that, sweet, sweet chocolate…. Β This St. Valentine’s Day, don’t spoil your significant other with material good; look after each other’s immortal souls.

  1. Did you just go paleo for Lent??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! But then, God has to do tremendously more work on me for me to let my coffee out of my clutches…

Great Valentines…thinking I may need to print those off for my kids. I’m SURE my little princess of sunshine and sparkles will especially appreciate them… πŸ™‚

  2. I had to show this to my husband we were both dying of laughter! πŸ™‚
