{SQT} Five, Seven, Five

We haven’t even wrapped up the Easter Octave and everyone in the family is a mess from all the junk food we’ve managed to consume in such a short amount of time. I’ll spare you the details, but I’m tired, yet I can’t. stop. stealing everyone’s candy. And so, here’s Seven Quick Takes in haiku. (It’s related somehow, trust me.)

1. New Easter clothes on
pictures with friends to take
phone fail ruins all

2. Speaking engagement
I talk on laundry and truth
Everyone welcome

3. Decorating bug
handy father-in-law visits
new white shelves hung up

4. Afternoon walking
leather couch on the roadside
rearranged living room

5. The sun a stranger
winter lingers into spring
kill me, kill me now

6. Great Adventure trip
Byron coaster rider
vomit everywhere

7. Sit down to write Takes
when Teddy suddenly yells
more vomit tonight

On that note, I need to go and settle in for a fun night of wondering if Teddy will throw up again, interspersed with cleaning up vomit. (I’m grateful Byron only had motion sickness and not a bug.) How was your week? Write it down (in haiku if you like) and link it up! Be sure to include a link back to this post so your readers can find the rest of the Quick Takes. I look forward to reading your posts!

  1. Miraculous Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit, you who makes me see everything and shows me the way to reach my ideal, you who gives me the divine gift to forgive and forget all the wrong that is done to me and you who are in all instances of my life with me. I, in this short dialogue, want to thank you for everything, and affirm once more that I never want to be separated from you no matter how great the material desires may be. I want to be with you and my loved ones in your perpetual glory. To that end and submitting to God’s holy will, I ask form you… (mention your favour). Amen

This prayer should be said for 3 consecutive days. After the 3rd day, your sincere wish will be granted no matter how difficult it may be. Promise to offer thanksgiving by sharing it and expressing it on granting of your favour. The idea is to spread the wonder of the Holy Spirit.
