{SQT} Home Movie Edition

Merry Christmas!!!

I can’t believe it’s already been a week since I last promised you some late Quick Takes. But never fear, I’m delivering this week in the form of a video. I wanted to make a better effort to shoot some pictures and videos of our family’s holiday celebrations this year because it’s our first Christmas in our new home. I’ve shared a bunch of stuff over on Instagram in my Stories, but I know not everyone can catch those before they disappear and for posterity’s sake, I wanted a video to watch down the road.

It’s short, without music, and ultimately, I hope to update it with more clips as we continue to celebrate. But this is a start, and if I don’t get back to it, this will be fine.

Now that I’ve uploaded this, I remember that this theme SUCKS when it comes to sharing videos. SIGH. Click through to watch on YouTube because I’m not messing with CSS or switching themes tonight.

Today we’ll visit with my grandmother, and various extended family members; same for Saturday. Then we’ll head home and continue to eat cookies, cheese, and candy with wild abandonment until Epiphany. And although we’re on Christmas “break” it goes without saying that there’s absolutely no break in the activity around here. Tony and I were talking about how we don’t want to start back up after break more exhausted than when it started. But the problem is, life is just crazy and so there was no time to prepare for anything in advance. We were shopping, wrapping, cooking, baking, and trying to do all the extra stuff in the three or four days before Christmas because that was the only time to do it. Three weeks ago we were swamped with everything that needed done then- none of it related to Christmas, same with two weeks ago, and so on, up until the last minute when I was searching for any items on Amazon that my kids might like that could still arrive by Tuesday. So I think we both a bit beat from doing everything we should’ve spread out over all of December in the last four days.

But I know you’re tired of me complaining about how busy life is so I’ll stop. I’m tired of complaining about how busy life is, so I’ll be doing us both a favor.

Now you can link up below with your own Takes! I look forward to reading them and seeing you again in 2020!
