{SQT} NYC Takes
Seven Quick TakesComing to you from the NJ Transit waiting area at Penn Station in New York City, itās Quick Takes!
I just attended Jennifer Fulwilerās comedy show (part of her Naughty Corner Tour) at an intimate venue downtown (or was it uptown? or on the West Side? I have no idea.) I wasnāt sure it would work for me to attend until the last minute but Iām glad the stars aligned because it was a great show. If you enjoy Jenās brand of humor you will throughly enjoy her set, as well as those of her opening acts. Check my Instagram Stories for a few pictures if youāre so inclined.
In other news, my book edits are due, like, now, and Addie and I leave at 12:30 Friday (today!) for a college visit in Detroit. So, please donāt try to contact me in the next 24 hours with any requests. Iāve been wearing the same pair of dirty socks for the last three days so, I cannot. even. with anything else right now.
But I will say, even though writing and editing this book has totally sucked, it really is so much better the more time I put into it. I canāt wait for it to be done so I can share it with you.
Next week my new workbook, āSelf Care for Special Needs Momsā drops in conjunction with Ultimate Bundles ‘Ultimate Women’s Wellness Bundle 2020’. Iāve promoted bundles in the past, but this is the first time Iāve been a contributor. More than anything, Iām hoping this sale will put the work of acceptingthegift.org in front of a larger audience, but I also hope that the workbook is a useful resource for exhausted special needs moms everywhere. Purchasing it with my affiliate code during the bundle sale will get you access to all the talks from last springās conference. After the bundle sale, the workbook will be still be available, but only with access to my talk on self-care included.
In the drafts folder is a mid-year homeschooling review I havenāt been able to finish because BOOK EDITS! But in a nutshell, weāve had a good year so far and Iām definitely a fan of community college classes for duel credit. Any other homeschooling questions, drop them in the comments and Iāll be sure to answer them in the ensuing post.
I suppose thatās all for now. Hopefully my train boards soon- I still need to wake up at the crack of dawn for school prep! This glamorous blogging/ writer life is exhausting!

Yeah, posting my Quick Takes is going to wait until I have a functional computer in front of me (my laptop is visiting the Geek Squad service center in Kentucky) and I’m not up at 4 a.m. overthinking everything.
