{WIWS} Stealing My Look – A REAL Giveaway

Humor . What I Wore

Hey, hey, hey! I’m back with the usual fashion attempt plus my first real giveaway. (I’ve already had a fake giveaway. This, my friends, is the real deal. Seriously! Why are you laughing??)

First the Sunday style;

And this was supposed to be a “nice shot.”

Dress; Been there. Done that; Burlington.

Shoes; Target

Sweater; Burlington

Accessories; The Celtic Knot Flexi-Clip by Lilla Rose

You know I usually wear my hair down but with my hair growing out and warmer temperatures arriving, I needed something to keep my hair up, up and away. Enter in my reader Katrina who offered me a Flexi-Clip to keep my mane at bay. And let me tell you, it is light years better than an elastic pony or big plastic clip (which have been breaking at record rates lately). Now instead of screaming “unwashed mommy hair’ my twist says, “I could be chaperoning a prom.” And I love that I can rest my head back in a chair/seat and the Flexi-Clip doesn’t painfully dig into my head making it impossible to sleep in those few minutes from our house to church. And after the usual amount of wrestling, lifting, yelling, quickly running to the sound of loud banging, my hair was still securely in place.

The only downside is, it’s so pretty, so easy to use, that my daughters keep trying to get their hands on it.

Addie trying to steal the clip from my closet. Caught you red handed! Guess who needs to visit the confessional this week???

Success. Amazing what you can achieve with a little team work.

We obviously have a discipline problem in this house.

And now for the exciting part, Katrina is offering a Flexi-Clip to one of my awesome readers! Enter the Rafflecopter giveaway below for your chance to win one for yourself (or maybe your glamorous daughter(s)). The contest will be open until next Sunday when I announce the winner during my weekly WIWS post. If you can’t wait until then, swing by Katrina’s site and shop around. Once you’ve entered, be sure to sashay back and check out the rest of the FLAPpers.

That’s a great dress on you! I’ve always wanted to try one of those hair clips. Would love the chance to win one!

I deserve a flexi-clip because my elastic ponytail holder is making my postpartum ponytail look more like a ferrettail. Also, I have a one year old with grabby hands and…ouch.

Now that’s what I am talkin about.

I’m convinced: I definitely need one of those hair clips!

It looks like it would withstand labor…and my pony tail holder just didn’t do the trick the last time around! I have three months left to solve the problem of hair control before my next labor 😉

LOVE this! So fun and so you. The clip is beautiful and well worth stealing. Oops…was that my outside voice?? Off to the box I go. LOL!

I need one! It is so pretty and looks so useful!

Ohh, that’s pretty! I’d probably get a lot of use out of it when the new baby arrives this summer…

Oh my goodness, y’all are goofy and I love it! My hair is shorter now, but as soon as it grows out I look for pony alternatives, if for no other reason than that whole napping in the car bit! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

It looks like you have fine straight hair like me. I love the look of the clip, but most hair thingies eventually slip out (or my hair slips out of THEM) because my hair is doesn’t give them enough to latch onto. Does the clip hold tightly enough to keep from slipping?

I used the guidelines here: http://www.lillarose.biz/BurbankHomestead/flexi-sizing-and-styling.html
to pick out a Flexi-Clip that suited my hair type (which is actually pretty thick.) I went with a medium, and I haven’t had issues with slip-age.

Those clips are so pretty that I don’t think I’m even going to unlike anything I just liked on FB to enter! 😉

I deserve a flexi-clip because I never ever ever ever win raffle copter giveaways. Oh, and because the dressiest my “up-do” gets is a messy bun.

Technically neither of those things = deserve. But we’re just gonna go with it.

P.S. You and your kids are so funny!

Flexi-clip looks way cooler than my ponytail holders and plastic clips!

The girls are adorable in their “let’s grab mom’s flexi-clip” mode. This may just be the answer to what I should get a friend’s daughter who is graduating from med school.

Wow, very pretty, the flexi clip and your dress! I have been looking at those clips, just may have to break down and get one because I never win!(-:

Very funny post. 🙂 I can always use a good hair clip like these for when my wavy hair will not behave, and I’m sure my hair will be up even more when baby gets here in June.

  • Andrea has written: 04/23/2013 at 1:46 am Reply

Well, I’m not sure I “deserve” it, but I would use it every day, since I have very long, thick hair that is a royal pain to put up with claw clips and ponytails. And it’s so pretty!

  • Gae has written: 04/23/2013 at 10:17 am Reply

I would love one of these

    • Gae has written: 04/23/2013 at 10:19 am Reply

Opps for got to say why
MY little ones constantly grab my hair and I love the look of these clips I have wanted one for so long.

  • Colleen Martin has written: 04/23/2013 at 1:32 pm Reply

Because I’m the momma, that’s why.

    🙂

I am growing out a short haircut and need all the help I can get!

  • Susie has written: 04/24/2013 at 4:20 pm Reply

Cute!! Looks like it would for nicely under a mantilla too. 😉

I deserve a flexi-clip because I cut my own hair yesterday.
